April 2024 – Qigong zoom classes

Ruby Ho, a qualified Ba Duan Jin (BDJ) instructor, and retired Occupational Therapist, is offering her second series of classes starting 3 April 2024. These classes are delivered remotely using Zoom and are free of charge. 

BDJ is a form of qigong, a set of traditional Chinese health preservation exercises, cultivating the vital energy life force (Qi) through the combination of body movements, breath and mind work (Qong). 
This form of exercise is believed to be beneficial to everyone, including people with Parkinson’s.

20 July 2024 – Family friendly Summer Picnic

Clare & John Price kindly invite Branch Members and their wider families, neighbours and grandchildren to a Summer Picnic on Saturday 20 July 2024, from 1.00 pm to 5.00 pm, at Great Halfpenny Farm, Halfpenny Lane, Guildford GU4 8PY.  

Bring your picnic table and chairs, food and drink and enjoy the afternoon the beautiful surroundings and views.

Win a 2-night stay at The Glass House at Great Halfpenny Farm, a 2 bedroom, single level architect designed home with stunning outlook. Raffle will be held – Conditions apply.

Activities for children include ‘meet the animals’ – lambs, horses and chickens. There will also be a Treasure hunt, Ball games, Pimm’s bar, Tea/coffee, Tombola, music and more!

Parking on grass.  Please bring sensible footwear.  Some uneven ground and gentle slopes. Sorry no dogs.  No BBQ’s.
