Thursday 25 June – Picnic at Chilworth Manor
We are delighted to have been selected as one of the three charities to benefit from the Chilworth Manor Picnic and Pinks event this year. This three evening event is held in the beautiful walled gardens of the Manor and ‘our evening’ is on Thursday 25 June.
Tickets for this event must be bought in advance and the deadline for this has now passed. However, for more information about this event and who to contact if you are able to volunteer to help out at the event, please see below.
Saturday 11 July – Save the Date for Jazz event
Trad’s Army Traditional Dixieland Band will provide an afternoon of Jazz on Saturday 11 July 2026 at St Catherine’s Village Hall, Chestnut Avenue, Guildford GU2 4HF from 2.30-4.30 pm. Doors open at 2.00 pm. More information below and to follow.
Friendship Group Social Evening
The Friendship Group social evening takes place on the third Wednesday of the month at The White Hart, 19 Bourne Road, Godalming at 7.00 pm.
Tuesday afternoon Social meeting
The Tuesday afternoon social meetings are held on the final Tuesday of each month at 2.00 pm at Shalford Village Hall, Kings Road, Shalford, Guildford Surrey, GU4 8BQ. There is usually an invited speaker.
New members please note that we meet at the Upper Hall (by the tennis courts) of Shalford Village Hall, to arrive from 1.45 pm to start the meeting at 2.00 pm.
Recently Diagnosed Group Social Evening
The Recently Diagnosed Group social evening takes place on the second Tuesday of the month
at The Grantley Arms, Wonersh GU5 0PE from 7.00 pm.

Thursday 25 June – Picnic at Chilworth Manor
Graham and Mia Wrigley, the owners of Chilworth Manor have kindly selected the Branch as one of the three local charities to benefit from their Picnic and Pinks event on Thursday 25 June 2026. This annual event is held in the beautiful walled gardens of the Manor. Bring your picnic, table and chairs and spend a relaxing evening enjoy live music from great bands. Gates open at 6.00 pm and music starts at around 6.30 pm, with the event closing around 10.15 pm. No need to bring drinks as Chilworth Manor wine (sparkling and still rose) will be on sale. The deadline for the sale of tickets for this wonderful event has now passed. Tickets always sell out very quickly and car parking tickets are limited and must be bought in advance. If you haven’t been successful in buying tickets for 2026 then visit the Chilworth Manor Vineyard website for more information about what else is on offer at this beautiful venue.

Saturday 4 July – Occam Singers concert
The Occam Singers have generously nominated us as their Charity of the Year for 2026 and we are invited to raise donations for the branch at the interval bar at four concerts throughout the year. The Second event, on the theme of English 20th Century Part-Songs, will be held on Saturday 4 July at St Mary’s Church, 59 Quarry Street, Guildford GU1 3UA. The event starts at 7.30 pm. Doors open at 2.00 pm. Chestnut Avenue is a turnoff from the A3100 (Portsmouth Road) just north of Ye Olde Ship Inn , and St Catherine’s Village hall is within walking distance of the bus route. Please note that there is a good car park but it is recommended that wheelchair users be dropped off at the kerb, near the entrance, for the easiest level access. Street parking is 2hr max so drivers should park in the car park.

Parkinsong Voices – new term
