Saturday 20 September

FALL INTO JAZZ is taking place at Chiddingfold Village Hall, Coxcombe Lane, Chiddingfold, Godalming GU8 4Q from 2.15 pm to 4.30 pm

Our next Branch fundraising event will be a gig by Trad’s Army traditional Dixieland Band.  Last year’s event was extremely popular and a near sell-out, so put this date in your diary.

Attendees will be seated at tables, however you are more than welcome to dance if you wish!  Alcoholic and non alcoholic refreshments will be available by voluntary payment. There will be a raffle and snacks will be available. Bring family, neighbours and friends.

Ticket price from now up to 18 September and on the door: £20 adult, £10 members and children.

Saturday 29 November

Godalming Choral Society is Marking 80 years since VE day with a concert at St John’s Church, Farncombe GU7 3EJ. Starting at 7.30 pm the concert will include pieces by Elgar, Durufle, Brahms and John Williams. Musical Director is George de Voil.. Godalming Choral Society have kindly invited Volunteers from the branch to hold collection tins at the Church door at the end of the evening’s performance.

Tuesday 2 December

Our Branch Christmas lunch will start at 12.30 pm for 1.00 pm at Godalming Rugby Club, Broadwater. The price of the lunch is subsidised by the Branch and the price to Members and their first guest is £30 a head. If a member brings more than one guest, each additional guest will pay the full £49.00.  Like previous years the Branch will cover the costs of wine and water. More information on menu options and how to book your ticket will be announced soon.

To ensure you don’t miss out we will also be sending you some raffle ticket books with the September edition of The Park magazine for you to sell to friends and family.

  • 2 December – Branch Christmas Lunch– This subsidised event will start at 12.30 pm for 1.00 pm at Godalming Rugby Club, Broadwater.
  • Christmas Evening Dinners for the Friendship Group and Rcently Diagnosed Group will also be in December and we hope to provide some subsidy again.

Motivation by Music is running a new ‘term’ of Parkinsong Voices. Classes all start as usual at 11.45 am with Zoom participants asked to sign in slightly earlier to ensure they are set up. For details click here.

The next monthly Recently Diagnosed Group social evening will be on Tuesday 7 October
at The Grantley Arms, Wonersh GU5 0PE from 7.00 pm.

15 October – Friendship Group Social Evening

The next monthly Friendship Group social evening will be on the third Wednesday of the month – Wednesday 15 October at The White Hart, 19 Bourne Road, Godalming at 7.00pm.
