Health Qigong Ba Duan Jin

BDJ is a traditional Chinese exercise with a long written history. It is well known for its gentle, slow movements and associated health benefits. Ruby Ho, Health Qigong Ba Duan Jin instructor, believes that Health Qigong Ba Duan Jin practice can help to reduce some of the problems faced by people living with Parkinson’s. For more information on Health Qigong Ba Duan Jin and Parkinson’s please click here. Ruby delivered a talk on Health Qigong Ba Duan Jin and Parkinson’s at the University of Hong Kong’s Centre on Behavioural Health (CBH). This centre for training and research is interested in exploring if ‘BDJ and Parkinson’s’ is a worthwhile topic for research. Two scientific papers on the Health QiGong studies are available. These are:

  1. Effects of Health Qigong exercises on relieving symptoms of Parkinson’s
  2. Effects of Health Qigong exercises on physical function of people with Parkinson’s
