Ba Duan Jin for Health

Last year Ruby Ho, a retired Occupational Therapist and qualified ‘Health Qigong Ba Duan Jin‘ (BDJ) Instructor, is running her third online course on Qigong Ba Duan Jin for branch members.

BDJ is a Traditional Chinese exercise with a long written history and is well known for its gentle, slow movements and associated health benefits. From her experience as a BDJ instructor, Ruby Ho believes that BDJ practice can help to reduce some of the problems faced by people living with Parkinson’s.     The BDJ class is provided on zoom and is free of charge, and can be enjoyed either as a seated or a standing exercise class.

    Ruby is running a standing class every week from 28 August at 9.00 am to 10.15 am. The seated class on run on the same dates as the standing class but at the later time of 10.30 am to 11.45 am. The dates are:

    Wednesday 28 August
    4 September – no class held
    11 September
    18 September
    25 September
    2 October
    9 October
    16 October
    23 October
    30 October
    6 November

    In between times, Ruby is hosting a monthly call for those people interested in a taster of the class, they will be held on the following Tuesday mornings. Just join us on zoom.

    Every month on the Third Tuesday, until 19 November, 2024.

     20 August – 9.00 am
    17 September – 9.00 am
    15 October – 9.00 am
    19 November – 9.00 am

    These courses will be offered free of charge, all you need is a computer and a camera capable of running Zoom.
