Harley Davidson visits WAG

Members of the Hogsback chapter of Harley Davidson enthusiasts will join the Working Age Group’s July meeting on 21st at the Withies in Compton.

Anyone who has ever wanted to sit on a Harley is welcome to join them from 7.30pm.

They are hoping to raise more money for us that evening.

Summer Family Picnic

Our Summer Picnic will be in the fabulous gardens of Great Halfpenny Farm.

Clare Price and her beautiful house with its tiered gardens, paddocks, and panoramic views over the Surrey Hills recently featured on BBC1’s ‘THIS IS MY HOUSE’, episode 5. Available to watch on BBC iPlayer.

The Picnic will be a great opportunity for members, their families, grandchildren and friends to meet socially after the long lockdown.

Bring your own picnics (no BBQs), chairs, blankets and parasols. You can purchase Cream Teas, ‘donate’ to have a Pimm’s and try your luck at the Tombola stall.
Children can meet the lambs, chickens and ponies, and take part in a few organised games.

Ticket prices are:

Adults £5.00, Children £3.00, and Family 15.00 ( 2 adults and up to 3 children),

Available from our Treasurer, Steve Heron

  • Car parking available.
  • Wear sensible shoes - there are a few gentle slopes and uneven surfaces!
  • No dogs please!

Do come along and make this a great day out!

Please contact Steve Heron if you have any questions.

The Tombola stall will require many prizes. Please hunt around and see if you have anything suitable, an unwanted gift or something barely used and still perfect, surplus from a multibuy, a bottle of something: anything that someone might like to win. In order to get the stall ready we will need items in advance. Steve Heron,, will act as a collection point for those of you in Guildford, Myra Newnes-Smith, for Godalming, and Valerie Box,  for Haslemere area.

We also need a few more volunteers to help on the day perhaps acting as a car parking steward for a few minutes directing cars to the ‘parking paddock’, or selling a few raffle tickets, help set up or tidy up at end, etc. Please contact Steve Heron if you are able to help out.

Christmas lunch.

We have made a provisional booking at Guildford Rugby Club for a Christmas lunch on Tuesday 7 December.

But we need to know approximately how many would be interested.

Please email Margaret Westwood on to let her know if you (plus a guest) would be likely to come.
